FAQs

Why are you called A440 Strings?

A440 is the pitch that orchestras tune to - the one that the oboe plays at the beginning of the concert. A440 or Concert A is the 440 Hz tone that serves as the standard for musical pitch. It is the A above middle C on a piano. For us, it symbolizes accuracy and excellence as an ensemble.
